Updated environment script!!!

Wednesday, 26 November 2008

Because the versions of tools and frameworks such as Mule, ServiceMix and ActiveMQ keep coming, so the original environment script to setup your local environment to work with the book's examples was not really workable anymore. Therefore we updated the script to not do automatic downloads anymore. You now can choose to download the whole package at once or by pieces. You still have to run the Ant build script as this script extracts and installs the tools and frameworks in the right directory. Notice that we still have a dependency to Java 6, but we plan to remove it soon, so you use Java 5 if you want to. For info about this update see the source code section

Yes, finally an update

Thursday, 25 September 2008

We had a lot of plans when we released the website early this year, and we still have these plans! But writing a book takes a lot of time, certainly besides a 40 hour job. But now the book is finished we'll spent our time on this website. With this website release you can see a number of examples of Mule and ServiceMix. We are very interested in your opinions, so please let us know your opinion at info@esbinaction.com.

Release of the website

Sunday, 6 January 2008

To support the Open Source ESBs in Action book we have launched a website where we will post examples of how to implement message flows in Open Source ESBs like Mule, ServiceMix, Synapse, JBoss ESB, PeTALS and Spring integration. We already made available some slides that we presented on Java conferences in Europe. Just go to the presentations section to view these slides.
